A day offshore

Adam McAndrew: “The typical day starts at 06:45 with a meeting held in the control room. We discuss the work ahead and make sure we all know where each other will be working. We’ll go through any potential hazards and the controls in place to mitigate them.

On any given day we may have to work supply vessels and land helicopters, not to mention routine operations and maintenance. Twelve hours later we’ll hold a final meeting and hand over to the night shift This is a 24/7/365 business.

After handing over, the team can make use of the impressive onboard facilities such as gym, entertainment equipment, or just calling loved ones at home.
A dedicated hospitality team provides three quality meals a day, while also keeping the accommodation clean and tidy and even taking care of our laundry.

We typically work two weeks on / two weeks off, with the opportunity for an additional two weeks leave to be taken over the year. Recently, however, the offshore colleagues voted to move to a two weeks on / three weeks off rotation, which is due to start in January 2024.

Working offshore brings some unique challenges that you would not necessarily face onshore. Yet the job can be very dynamic and it’s far from routine. Here we are in the business of solving problems, so you need to be creative in your thinking and able to take the initiative.”

Patricia Jonkman – HR manager

“I enjoy working at the intersection of two worlds.”

HR Business Partner

Help us explore new horizons in HR

ONE-Dyas B.V. is always on the lookout for extraordinary people to join us on our journey to near-zero emission production.

We know that our success in North Sea exploration and production is powered by people. And we value our talented and motivated employees accordingly.

Our ambitious plans for expansion are opening up an exceptional range of new opportunities out in the field and right here at our Amsterdam HQ.

We are now looking for a HR Business Partner.

This is a really exciting time and, as you can imagine, it means that we’re getting busy. Which is why we need someone like you.

In this role you’ll become part of a close-knit HR team, consisting of three HR colleagues. You will report into the Senior HR Manager and act as a trusted advisor among your (HR) colleagues.

You will provide solicited and unsolicited advice, and active contribution is very much appreciated. You are a HR Professional who would describe him/herself as a generalist who is down-to-earth, resilient, flexible, aimable and above all hands-on. At the same time, you need to be able to provide both strategic and operational advice and together with your HR colleagues work on further designing the HR function in the company.

So…who are we looking for?

As the HR Business Partner, you need to have at least 10 years of relevant HR Advisory / Business Partner experience as you need to feel comfortable to advise and decide on various HR issues, on an operational and tactical level.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in The Netherlands and UK, will be part of this job. Your day-to-day activities vary, so if you’re service oriented, able to multitask and if you are flexible and keen to work autonomous, this might be a great opportunity.

Besides being a seasoned HR Professional with detailed knowledge about Dutch labour law, you have also gained experience in an operational as well as a corporate working environment.

Experience in the oil & gas sector and with English labour law is a pre.

Needless to say, you’re eligible to work in The Netherlands.

And who are we?

ONE-Dyas is the largest privately owned upstream oil and gas company in The Netherlands. We think big, but at the same time we think small. So yes, we’re bold, ambitious, and entrepreneurial. Yet at the same time we are a real team who enjoy working closely together.

We’re always open to new ideas, we’re open and transparent, and we enjoy the freedom to organise our work. Above all, we really do value our people and do everything we can to take good care of them.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the cutting edge of next-generation North Sea operations. And there’s never been a better time to get started.
